Posted on March 30th, 2017 by TEAM Schostak in Community

In celebration of National Volunteer Week April 23-29, TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) and our metro Detroit MOD Pizza restaurants will provide local volunteers with a coupon for a free pizza and soft drink in appreciation of their selfless community service.

A week designed to increase volunteerism for local causes and organizations that are making a positive impact, individuals who visit any one of MOD Pizza’s metro Detroit locations from Sunday, April 23 through Saturday, April 29 with valid proof of having volunteered within the last year will receive a coupon for a free MOD size pizza and soft drink.

In order to be eligible to redeem the offer, the individual must provide a photo of himself/herself volunteering, an official letter from a nonprofit recognizing his/her service, or a signed community service slip. Limit to one free meal per person.

The offer is valid at the following MOD Pizza locations:

  • 8605 W. Grand River, Brighton, MI
  • 41865 Ford Road, Canton, MI
  • 50670 Gratiot Avenue, Chesterfield, MI
  • 13229 Middlebelt Road, Livonia, MI
  • 18821 Traditions Drive, Northville, MI

As a local business, we have a responsibility to those in the communities we serve to continually use our platform to improve our neighborhoods and spotlight the residents who are helping us in this positive mission. Our goal at our MOD Pizza restaurants is to provide a high-quality, fast and affordable meal, while simultaneously inspiring others to give back. National Volunteer Week was the perfect opportunity for us to encourage more residents to take action and get involved in causes that they are passionate about that will have a lasting impact.

Based in Seattle, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. As the company that launched the fast-casual pizza niche, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.

In late 2014, we announced plans to launch 25 MOD Pizza locations in Michigan over the next five years. Since then, we have opened our first eight MOD Pizza locations in Livonia, Northville, Rochester Hills, Woodhaven, Brighton, Canton, Chesterfield and Shelby Township.
