TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants Celebrates Opening of MOD Pizza in Shelby Township
TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) will celebrate the grand opening of our newest Michigan MOD Pizza restaurant in Shelby Township on Tuesday, April 18 with an all-day “Pay What You Want” fundraiser. The Shelby Township restaurant opened to the public in early March and is located at 15153 23 Mile Road.
The “Pay What You Want” event begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs through dinner service. Guests can pay an amount of their choosing for their meal, with all proceeds benefiting the Utica Community Schools Foundation for Educational Excellence to aid the organization in its mission to enhance the education experience for local students by providing encouragement and support to the teachers and their classrooms.
Our commitment at MOD Pizza is to not only serve quality pizzas at an affordable price, but to also set an example of what it means to be a positive role model in our community. We are inspiring a ripple effect among residents and fellow businesses for doing the right thing by celebrating our grand opening in a way that gives back to the greater Shelby Township community. We encourage the community to stop by and help us raise funds for our local school district.
Based in Seattle, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. As the company that launched the fast-casual pizza niche, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
