TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) will celebrate the grand opening of its second Michigan MOD Pizza restaurant in Shelby Township on Tuesday, December 19 with an all-day “Pay What You Want” fundraiser. The new Shelby Township restaurant opened to the public on November 17 and is located at 56619 Van Dyke Avenue between 25 Mile Road and 26 Mile Road.

As we continue to serve as an impactful and inspiring neighbor, we look forward to giving back further to the Shelby Township community that has welcomed us with open arms. With a focus on increasing access for an affordable, high-quality pizza to metro Detroit residents while creating positive change in the communities we serve, we hope that the community will join us for this great event benefitting Angels of Hope in their mission to provide ‘everyday angels’ a way to bring hope to children and their families as they battle cancer.

The “Pay What You Want” event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and run through dinner service. Guests can pay an amount of their choosing for their meal, with all proceeds benefiting Angels of Hope to aid the organization in its mission to provide financial assistance and other programs to children and parents with minor children battling any type of cancer, anywhere in Michigan.

“There is nothing more rewarding to us than knowing that we’re making a difference in the lives of those who need it most, and we are thankful for organizations like TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants and MOD Pizza who help us make that possible,” said Bill Wylonis, chairman of Angels of Hope volunteer board. “As we strive to continue making a difference every day in the lives of people touched by cancer, we look forward to partnering with MOD Pizza Shelby Township for this great fundraising event to celebrate their grand opening.”

MOD Pizza uses fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. Guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in just minutes, and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD Pizza also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes and house-made lemonades and iced teas.

For nearly a decade, Angels of Hope has been providing financial assistance to children and those who love and care for them as they battle cancer (theirs or a parents). With 100% of donations and proceeds from events directly financing these families, Angels of Hope ensures every dollar does the most good, from donation to deed.
