TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants’ Applebee’s Partner with Komen Michigan to Launch “Apples for the Cure”
Local lives saved, nationally known names.
Komen Michigan is launching the “Apples for the Cure” campaign in partnership with our TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants’ Applebee’s, showing how Michiganders can help spread awareness of the importance of breast health.
We started our partnership with Komen Michigan last year and had managers and team members at every restaurant enthusiastically embracing the opportunity to help give back to those fighting breast cancer.
We have selected 19 of our Applebee’s locations to participate in the Apples for the Cure partnership with Komen Michigan. To participate, guests can stop in to make a donation from February 14 through February 21 and the campaign will wrap with a Pink Party on the last day. All day on February 21 starting at 11 a.m. and during the Pink Party from 6-9 p.m., Applebee’s will donate 10% of all food sales plus proceeds from donation cards, raffles, and t-shirt sales back to Komen. In addition, each location will have a table celebrating survivors and fighters.
“We have remarkable community partners striving to increase awareness and education throughout our shared neighborhoods about the impacts of breast cancer. A core value of TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants’ Applebee’s is to give back to the communities they serve, so the creation of Apples for the Cure happened organically with Komen Michigan. Knowing that we are engaging in this partnership to share stories of survival while helping to increase funding for life-saving interventions is inspiring,” said Erica Bills, Executive Director for Komen Michigan.
Stop in to honor someone in your life who has gone through a breast cancer journey, make a donation, enjoy swag and giveaways, or just dine out at Applebee’s and know your meal will help support the fight!
Participating locations include: Caledonia, Grandville, Ludington, Hastings, Muskegon, Holland, Greenville, Comstock Park (North Grand Rapids location on Alpine), Saint John’s, Ionia, East Lansing, Plainwell, Kalamazoo, Benton Harbor, Three Rivers, Battle Creek, Marshall, Charlotte, Coldwater.
