Team Schostak Family Restaurants Raises More than $78,380 for JDRF
TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) and our portfolio of more than 100 restaurants throughout the state of Michigan raised a grand total of $78,386 to benefit JDRF (formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) during our annual week-long fundraising event.
Throughout the fundraiser, our 64 Applebee’s, 26 Olga’s Kitchen, eight MOD Pizza and five Del Taco restaurants sold JDRF’s paper sneakers in-restaurant and collected donations from guests to raise $53,386 to support JDRF. In addition to the in-restaurant collections, TSFR contributed an additional $25,000 toward to cause to help JDRF accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and its complications.
A proud long-time supporters of JDRF, our TEAMS have witnessed the widespread impact T1D has not only on the lives of those diagnosed with it, but also their loved ones. As a local owner and operator of more than 100 fan-favorite restaurants, we are thankful for the generous donations made by our loyal guests to help improve the quality of life for these individuals living with T1D.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding T1D research. With a goal to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until a world without T1D is achieved, JDRF is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a working plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.
