TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) has acquired 56 Wendy’s restaurants in Michigan as the company continues its strategic growth and investment throughout the state. With the addition of Wendy’s to its portfolio of restaurant concepts, TSFR now owns and operates more than 160 restaurants throughout Michigan.

As our team actively sought opportunities to grow TSFR’s restaurant business, this unique opportunity came up in our home state to purchase these Wendy’s and the acquisition was a strategic and natural fit. We see tremendous growth opportunity with Wendy’s both in the communities we are currently operating in, as well as in new communities throughout Michigan.
The Schostak family has had a footprint in Michigan for nearly 100 years, starting its business in real estate. Nearly 40 years ago, the family diversified its business and began TSFR when it became a franchisee of BURGER KING ®. Throughout its 34 years with BURGER KING ®, TSFR grew the quick service chain from one to 60 restaurants in Michigan before selling its stake in the brand in 2015. Today, TSFR owns and operates 65 Applebee’s, 27 Olga’s Kitchen, 14 MOD Pizza and 8 Del Taco restaurants throughout the state with plans underway to expand each concept. In 2018, TSFR opened the first co-branded Applebee’s/IHOP restaurant located inside the Millender Center in Detroit.
